Longmont’s DJ Fowler — the top scorer of the game — made four trips to the endzone. Trojan Braden Hitchcock recorded two touchdowns as Niwot’s Nate Merriman and receiver Max McCaddon connected twice for scores.

A last minute drive for the Niwot Cougars was going well until a Greeley Central interception near the goal line sealed the game Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at Everly-Montgomery Field. The Cougars lost 21-14 to the Wildcats, who picked up their first win of the season. Cougar Dillon Manzanares put up both Niwot touchdowns on impressive runs totaling 154 yards.

Niwot’s Jessica Johnson broke the 1-1 tie in the sixth inning and when the defense stepped back on the field pitcher Nickie Blue made quick work of the Raptors final batting attempts.
