The Colorado State University men’s basketball team nearly pulled out a win over in-state rival Colorado on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010. A missed free throw by CU’s Cory Higgins was followed by a bucket by CSU’s Jesse Carr, which sent the game into overtime. CU pulled through 90-83.

Although top-ranked Kansas came into Coors Events Center as heavy favorites, the Colorado Buffaloes kept pace with the Jayhawks before losing 72-66 in overtime. The Buffs move to 11-11 overall and 2-6 in the Big XII. Kansas remains unbeaten in the conference at 7-0.
