2010 Spring Athletes of the Year

It’s that time a year again when the sports desk sends the email that they’ve picked the Athletes of the Year. It’s also that time a year when we brainstorm possible locations, themes and new ways to create the portraits.

Well, in order to help me keep track of my lifeline to the cyber world I am beginning a new photo series. Each day I have a photo assignment to fulfill I vow the first photo will be captured using my iPhone and the one’s I like will be posted here. Not only will this ensure it is in my pocket when I get out of my vehicle it may also turn into a fun visual journey.
Spring has arrived?

Here I am sitting along the third baseline. I can’t believe the first baseball assignment has arrived. The wind is howling, the clouds rolling in and, of course, three pairs of gloves wait in the truck. At least I brought my hat.
