Preschoolers from Bloom Montessori in Longmont launch model rockets Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011 at Sunset Middle School. As part of the lesson, the preschoolers attended a presentation at the University of Colorado’s Fiske Planetarium entitled Kids in Space, and have been performing experiments in the classroom to teach them about forces, gravity, and thrust.

About 250 Catholics walked Friday, April 22, 2011, from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Longmont to commemorate Good Friday, the day Christians believe Jesus was crucified and died. The 4-mile procession stopped periodically to pray the rosary and recite the Stations of the Cross.
