The store's final day was Tuesday, as its manager and 130 employees transferred to the new Walmart Supercenter, 2285 Ken Pratt Boulevard, which opened Wednesday. The Hover Street store opened in 1986 and received a 34,000 square-foot expansion in 1995, bringing its total size to over 120,000 square feet. The store was one of the first Walmarts in the state. According to the company's press information, its first Colorado store opened in 1985.
