Longmont football keeps perfect season alive with win over Loveland
Despite turning the ball over six times to the Loveland Indians on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, the Longmont Trojans still managed to keep their perfect season alive. The Trojans won 32-6 with quarterback Forrest Wetterstrom recording 170 yards rushing and scoring two touchdowns.

Longmont football improves to 7-0 with 49-26 win over Niwot
It may have been a shaky start for the Longmont Trojans football team against the visiting Niwot Cougars, but once their game came together they prevailed 49-26 at Everly-Montgomery Field on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011. Longmont’s DJ Fowler — the top scorer of the game — made four trips to the endzone. Trojan Braden Hitchcock recorded two touchdowns as Niwot’s Nate Merriman and receiver Max McCaddon connected twice for scores.

The Silver Creek boys golf team came away on top of the leader board as a team Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at Pelican Lakes in Windsor on the first day of the Class 4A State Championships. Longmont’s lone golfer Jared Mannatt fired a 76.

Winning streak snapped: Longmont girls fall to Broomfield 48-41
The Longmont Trojans’ winning streak was snapped Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 with a bitter loss to the Broomfield Eagles. Longmont’s Jamie Katuna and Megan Carpenter both ran into foul trouble late in the game and were forced to watch the final minutes of their teams’ 48-41 loss from the bench. The two teams met last met in January, when the Trojans pulled out a 57-48 win.
Longmont upsets Niwot 58-51
Despite closing the gap between them and the Longmont Trojans on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, the Niwot Cougars couldn’t pull off a win, losing 58-51 in their second meeting this season.
